Last Minute DIY Lantern for St. Martin

Are you still looking for a last minute DIY lantern for St. Martin? 🏮🌟
Then this is the perfect and quick craft idea:
What you need:
  • 1. An empty can e.g. a Pelster's can
  • 2. colored cardboard box
  • 3rd wire
  • 4. Lantern light
  • 5. Lantern pole
  • 6. Scissors and glue
  • 7. Screwdriver

And here's how it works:

1️⃣ Simply clean an empty Pelster's can and cut out a circle the size of the lid insert and insert it.
2️⃣ Then cut out a piece of colored cardboard in the dimensions of the can (Pelster's can: 32x14.5 cm) and stick it around the can. Press firmly and let it dry briefly.
3️⃣ Meanwhile, cut out the stars in any quantity and size you like.
4️⃣ The stars are also glued onto the can and need to dry briefly.
Now the parents have to help!
5️⃣ Take a pointed screwdriver and carefully "drill" holes in the can. Then fold the wire in half and twist it. Now you can put it through the two opposite holes and fasten it.
6️⃣ The same thing happens with the stars. To make the holes bigger, it's best to "drill" them again with a thicker screwdriver.
7️⃣ Now take the lid again and glue the light inside. Put the lid back on the can and you're done!
Sun off and lights on! Have fun with the video and feel free to link us to your homemade lanterns🌟🌑
