Preparation time: 3-4 hours

Ingredients:

  • 600g flour
  • 100g sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 230g water
  • 140 g soft butter in pieces
  • 2.5 tsp (approx. 10g) baker's yeast
  • 100 g Pelster's Cappuccino type vanilla (alternatively also another type of Pelster's Cappuccino)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg for brushing
  • a large baking pan

Preparation:

  1. Put all the ingredients except the butter in a bowl and mix them with a dough hook for about 10-15 minutes until a smooth dough is formed.
  2. Then gradually add the softened butter and continue stirring.
  3. Then keep the dough in a warm place for about 1 hour until the dough has doubled in size.
  4. Stir the dough again for about 3 minutes, then pour it into a baking pan and let it rise for another 1 to 2 hours.
  5. Then preheat the oven to 180° and brush the brioche with a beaten egg.
  6. The brioche then needs to bake for about 25-30 minutes.
  7. Then let the brioche cool thoroughly. Enjoy with jam or other spreads.
